Add WWE Executive Vice President and professional wrestler Triple-H to the list of supporters for Philadelphia 76ers rookie Joel Embiid and his campaign to get into this year's NBA All-Star Game as a rookie. Tonight, Embiid tweeted a picture from Wednesday night's buzzer-beating victory against New York, showing him grabbing TJ McConnell by the face, saying he learned it by watching Triple-H. The rest is history.
I learned this by watching you, @TripleH
Is the @WWE ready for The Process?

To play the game you gotta go through The Process … #NBAVote https://t.co/PzD3Qa46H6

Although Triple-H did mention the process and #NBAVote in his tweet, he didn't put Embiid's name in there, so the vote may not count. Oh well, it's the recognition that helps, right? Meanwhile, this comes just a few days after someone created Embiid as a character on WWE 2K17. The video is a must watch as Embiid enters the ring to the 76ers old school anthem.
The NBA released their second update of All-Star voting this afternoon, showing Embiid in fourth place, about 17,000 behind Kevin Love for third. If Embiid makes up the ground quickly, he could find himself in the starting lineup for the Eastern Conference.
Over the last few weeks, the Philadelphia 76ers have become the forefront of sports in the City of Brotherly Love. Not only are they 3-1 in 2017 so far, but rookie phenom Joel Embiid has gotten plenty of support in his All-Star campaign, getting Twitter votes from a handful of Philadelphia athletes and even former Sixers general manager, Sam Hinkie.
The Sixers sold Embiid's favorite beverage from college, Shirley Temple's, at Wednesday night's game for $5 while also giving each media member the ingredients and recipe for Joel's drink of choice.
