Report: Pacers pursuing Sixers center Jahlil Okafor

The NBA trade deadline is just two days away and the Philadelphia 76ers still have a center logjam on their hands. The most likely player to be moved still seems to be Jahlil Okafor, even though many teams that were interested have already made deals. There is clearly still some interest though, with ESPN's Ramona Shelburne reporting that another team has begun pursuing Okafor.
While it's not exactly clear what the Pacers could offer the Sixers in a deal, a trade also makes little sense with Indiana having up-and-coming big man Myles Turner as their starting center. CJ Miles and Glenn Robinson III could be included in a potential package with a pick, but the Pacers don't have a whole lot the Sixers need right off the bar.
Okafor has done an A+ job with everything thrown his way, but, it's tough to imagine him fitting with the Sixers long term. He's a strictly offensive center with very little defensive ability and his lack of pace really doesn't fit what the team is trying to do. If Philadelphia doesn't find a suitor by Thursday's deadline, Okafor could still be an interesting trade chip leading up to the draft. He's averaging 11.4 points and 4.8 rebounds per game this season for the Sixers.
