The NBA has announced the Las Vegas Summer League schedule. The series is set to begin on Friday, July 7, ending on Monday, July 17 with tournament play beginning on July 12.
Here's when the Sixers will be playing:
Sixers Summer League 2017 Schedule
DATE | OPPONENT | Time | TV | ||
Jul 8 | vs Golden State | 10:30 PM EST | ESPN2
Jul 9 | vs San Antonio | 10:30 PM EST | ESPN2
Jul 11 | vs Boston | 6:30 PM EST | ESPN2 |
The Sixers' summer league roster will not be featuring star center Joel Embiid or former first overall pick Ben Simmons. But it is possible to get to see some of Furkan Korkmaz who was selected by the Sixers with the 26th overall pick in last year's draft and spent last season overseas.
Some 2017 draft picks should also be playing in the Summer league games as the Sixers have the 3rd, 36th, 39th, 46th, and 50th picks in this year's draft. Other than that, the roster would probably consist of unsigned free agents and D-league prospects, and Larry Drew II, who was signed to a Summer League deal earlier this week.
It should be fun to see these players in action and it will get us a step closer to Sixers' basketball in the 2017-18 season.
