For only the fourth time in team history, the Sixers have signed a number one overall draft pick.
On Saturday evening, the Sixers agreed to a rookie-contract with their number one overall pick, Markelle Fultz.
Per team policy, the details of the contract were not disclosed, however, the deal will most likely fall into the typical rookie contract guidelines. Fultz signed the deal surrounded by family and general manager Bryan Colangelo.
As the new league-year gets underway, the contracts for J.J. Redick and Amir Johnson will most likely also be signed on the dotted line in the coming days.
Fultz will continue his summer-league stretch tonight as the Sixers take on the Warriors in Las Vegas.
