The Philadelphia Eagles are 6-1, but Monday night's win came at a big cost. Less than a minute into the third quarter, veteran left tackle Jason Peters injured his leg and had to be carted off the field. On Tuesday morning, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com was told the Eagles' suspected just an MCL tear prior to Peters' MRI, which was a positive outlook for the injury. Unfortunately, imaging showed otherwise as the 36-year-old suffered a torn ACL and MCL.
Sources: The #Eagles did not get good news. LT Jason Peters tore his ACL and MCL, his MRI revealed. They had hoped just MCL.

At 36 years of age, you have to wonder if Monday night's game was Peters' last in the NFL. Navarro Bowman of the 49ers suffered the same injury back in 2014 and wasn't 100 percent until two seasons afterwards.
Philadelphia has embraced Peters since he arrived via trade in 2009. Many believe him to be a future Hall of Famer, and it wouldn't be surprising considering his consistently strong level of play throughout his entire career.
Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports that the Eagles will likely just stick with Halapoulivaati Vaitai at left tackle and keep Lane Johnson on the right side. There are some elite pass rushers that Johnson will face on that side anyway, including DeMarcus Lawrence (DAL), Von Miller (DEN) and Khalil Mack (OAK). Prior to being taken off of the field, Peters had a message for his replacement, 'Big V'…
"He told me, 'Just keep your composure and calm down,'" said second-year tackle Halapoulivaati Vaitai, who took Peters' spot at left tackle after his knee injury. "Take two good kicks, don't over set, you'll be fine."
Vaitai said the advice helped. It calmed him down.
"He believed in me so it gave me a confidence boost a little bit," Vaitai said.
Here's the play Peters got hurt on, if you missed it.
The Eagles host the 0-7 San Francisco 49ers as they look to move to 7-1 on Sunday.
