Ellerbe is 31-years old, and has connections to Eagles Vice President of Player Personnel Joe Douglas from the time that they both spent together in Baltimore. Ellerbe won a Super Bowl as a member of the Ravens in Super Bowl XLVII.
In addition to his time in Baltimore, Ellerbe has also played for the Miami Dolphins and most recently the New Orleans Saints.
Ellerbe has 368 tackles and 10.5 sacks in 77 career games. Ellerbe started 42 of those 77 games.
Ellerbe entered the season as a free agent, and now he will be expected to impart his experience from his Super Bowl journey on a young Eagles locker room.
