The NBA season just came to an end, but it doesn't stop there. The 2018 NBA Draft takes place next Thursday, June 21, and then shortly after that, Summer League play begins in Las Vegas. The NBA just announced that their MGM Resorts Summer League will feature all 30 teams for the first time and will run from July 6-17 at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada. As in year's past, it will be a tournament-style league with the Championship Game being played on July 17. Each team will play a minimum of five games. After three preliminary games, the teams will be seeded in the tournament, which will begin on July 11:
Here's a look at the Sixers schedule through the three preliminary games, which include an opener against the team that eliminated them in the Eastern Conference Semifinals:
Friday, July 6 at 4:30 p.m. - Sixers vs. Celtics
Saturday, July 7 at 8:30 p.m. - Sixers vs. Lakers
Monday, July 9 at 2:30 p.m. - Sixers vs. Wizards
Expect the Sixers first-rounders and second-rounders from this year's draft to get action in the Summer League. Furkan Korkmaz, if his foot is recovered, could see some time as well. It has yet to be determined if Markelle Fultz, last year's No. 1 pick, will play.
In 2017, the Lakers won the Las Vegas Summer Leagut title, led by Kyle Kuzma's 30 points.
The Philadelphia 76ers have the No. 10 & 26 picks in the 2018 NBA Draft. Boston has the No. 27 pick while Washington will select 15th.
