Philadelphia Phillies No. 11 prospect RHP Enyel De Los Santos has been named to the World Roster of the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game, set to take place in the nation's capital on Sunday, July 15, at 4 p.m. Jorge Velandia, Phillies’ special assistant to the general manager, will be the World’s first base coach, while former club coach and player Juan Samuel will be its third base coach.
This year's All-Star Futures Game roster includes 15 first-round draft picks, along with representation of eight different countries and territories outside the United States.
Since joining the Phillies organization this past offseason — in the trade that sent shortstop Freddy Galvis to the San Diego Padres — De Los Santos is 9-3 with a 1.89 ERA, 87-31 strikeout-to-walk ratio and 1.080 WHIP in 16 starts and 95 1/3 innings at Triple-A Lehigh Valley. The San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic, native leads the International League in wins and ERA.
Rhys Hoskins and Scott Kingery represented the Phillies organization at last year's annual Futures Game.
