The Philadelphia Eagles released Josh Huff less than a week ago and the wideout has already found a new home. According to a report, Huff has been signed to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice squad.

The Eagles cut ties with Huff after he was arrested on the Walt Whitman Bridge for speeding with possession of marijuana and a gun with hollow point bullets. The police report revealed that the firearm was loaded with hollow point bullets, which Huff can be charged for individually. According to Philly.com, he could face a minimum of 3.5 years in jail if he’s convicted.
Huff apologized to the media, but also made some questionable comments after Eagles practice last Wednesday, one day prior to his release, that didn’t help his cause one bit.
“I’m a professional athlete. What professional athlete don’t have a gun?” Huff told reporters on Wednesday. “I have a wife and I have a son at home, and my job is to protect them at all costs. My job is to protect myself as well.” [Philly.com]
Huff was a big part of the Eagles special teams unit on kickoffs this season, returning a kick 98 yards for a touchdown during the Eagles win over the Vikings three weeks ago.
