Although the Philadelphia 76ers are 0-4 with a matchup looming against the defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday, Joel Embiid, Sergio Rodriguez and Dario Saric have provided fans with positives. Embiid and Saric are top among rookies in scoring and rebounds.

Joel Embiid didn't make the trip to Charlotte on Wednesday, but that didn't mean that he wasn't a topic of conversation. Hall of Fame center and current Hornets associate head coach Patrick Ewing was watching film on Embiid in the preseason and was extremely impressed, indicating that Joel could be one of the best centers in basketball.

"Woah. This guy? He might be the most talented center in the game." – Patrick Ewing

Through three games, Joel Embiid leads the entire rookie class with 17.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.67 blocks per game. His blocking average is fourth best in the NBA.
