The Philadelphia 76ers are in the nation's capitol for their second preseason match-up with the Washington Wizards. The Sixers have a 1-4 record thus far in the preseason, but only their recent 30-point loss to Memphis was out of reach.

Slowly but surely, injured players are making strides in recovery and on Thursday night, Joel Embiid will have his minutes increased to 15, three minutes up from where he was before.

In addition to Embiid's increase, Gerald Henderson will be allotted 18 minutes, one game after playing just over 16.  He had been on a 12-minute restriction for the first three games of the preseason. Henderson is coming off of his best performance, scoring 10 points on 3-for-5 shooting in the Sixers loss to the Grizzlies on Tuesday.

Brandon Paul and Nik Stauskas make their returns to the lineup tonight with 12-minute restrictions. Paul had a strong debut in the preseason, scoring 15 points in under 13 minutes while Stauskas has been streaky, per usual, before he got hurt in the first game.

Meanwhile, Jahlil Okafor will sit once again as he continues to recover from surgery to repair a small tear in his right meniscus.

One player not mentioned in the Sixers medical update is forward Dario Saric. Brett Brown opted to rest the 22-year-old Croatian after he played in the teams' first three exhibition games. After two strong performances, scoring 10 and 14 points respectively, Saric shot 1-for-7 from the floor in the Sixers loss to Cleveland on October 8.
