Flushing, NY - The Philadelphia Phillies continue their five-game road trip this evening with a three-game series against the New York Mets at Citi Field.
The Phils are coming off of a two-game Interleague Series split with the White Sox. After dropping game one by a score of 9-1, they earned the split with a 5-3 win in game two thanks to a solid outing from Jerad Eickhoff and big hits from Tommy Joseph and Aaron Altherr. New York just took two out of three from the Cardinals and have won four of their last five games.
Adam Morgan will get the start for the Phillies, looking to build on a strong start in his return the rotation while Mets right-hander Bartolo Colon will aim to have continued success against the Phillies.

Adam Morgan has made two starts since returning to the rotation and for all intents and purposes, he's looked good. After exiting his start on August 12 early due to being hit by a line drive, the 26-year-old left-hander tossed six innings of one-run ball in his last start against the Cardinals. It was the first time since May 21 that Morgan had allowed two runs or less in six or more innings. In one start against the Mets in his career, Morgan allowed five runs in 3.2 innings on the mound last season.
Bartolo Colon has had a lot of success against the Phillies, holding them to a .206 average in three starts this season. He's 1-1 with a 2.04 ERA against them this season and is 9-5 with a 3.31 ERA in his career. Colon has had a strong month of August, posting a 2.25 ERA across four starts, spanning 24 innings. His most recent outing came against San Francisco, where he earned the win, pitching 6.1 innings and allowing two runs in the Mets 9-5 victory.
