John LeClair and Mark Howe to Coach Prospect Showcase

Two Flyers Hall of Famers are set to reunite next month, and impose some of their wisdom upon the NHLers of tomorrow along the way.

John LeClair and Mark Howe will be coaching the CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game, set for Sept. 22 at Wells Fargo Center. Forty-two top American-born prospects will compete in the game, and give fans in the region a look at top prospects eligible for next year's draft.

Additionally, the event will feature players that will be suiting up to represent Team USA in this year's IIHF World Juniors tournament, set for Dec. 26 in Montreal and Toronto.

It's certain that the game will provide players with the chance to learn from two of the most prolific American players of all-time. Howe was inducted into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame in 2003 (and the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2011), while LeClair received the honor in 2009. LeClair will also be honored alongside the 1996 World Cup of Hockey team, which will be inducted this year.

Previous coaches of the All-American Prospects Game include Derek Plante, Jeremy Roenick, Ed Olczyk, Mike GrierJoe Mullen, Rob McClanahan and Phil Housley.

USA Hockey, in conjunction with NHL Central Scouting, will announce rosters for the game at a later date.
