The Philadelphia 76ers signed point guard Sergio Rodriguez to a one-year deal out of Real Madrid and it looks like Bryan Colangelo has his eyes on one of his teammates, Rudy Fernandez. According to Eurohoops.net, the Sixers have reportedly offered Fernandez a two-year, $20 million dollar deal.

Not only Sergio Rodriguez is leaving Real Madrid for the Sixers, but according to the Spanish newspaper “El Mundo” the same NBA team has made a $ 20 m. offer to Rudy Fernandez.

The offer to Rudy is for a two year contract and it will be enough for him in order to pay his mammuth buy out clause, which is reportedly 4 million euros.

This past season with Real Madrid in the Euroleague, Fernandez averaged 8.4 points on 40.9 percent shooting from the floor and 38.8 percent from beyond the arc. In four NBA seasons, he averaged 9.1 points and 2.4 rebounds, shooting 39.9 percent overall and 36 percent from three-point range.

Fernandez, 31, was selected 24th overall by the Phoenix Suns in the 2007 NBA Draft and was sent to Portland one month later. He was dealt to the Mavericks in a three-team trade in June 2011 before being sent to the Nuggets in December of the same year. He returned to Spain after 31 games with Denver during the 2011-12 season.

A league source has deniesd that the Sixers offered Fernandez a deal, according to Jessica Camerato of CSNPhilly.com.
