At the MLB Draft earlier this month, the Phillies decided to use their long awaited No. 1 draft selection and take talented 18 year-old outfielder Mickey Moniak from La Costa Canyon High School in California.
Just a couple weeks removed from that historic moment, Moniak will make his professional debut in the Gulf Coast League tomorrow, according to a tweet from CSN's Jim Salisbury.

For Moniak, tomorrow's game will be the first time the youngster plays professional baseball in his career. For Phillies fans all across the world, it will be the first time they see their touted top prospect take his highly regarded swings.
Moniak is coming off of a stellar senior season in high school where he hit .476 with 50 hits, 46 RBIs, with seven homers in 29 games.
Fans will be hoping to see him replicate his high school success at the GCL level and make a quick journey up the ranks in the farm system.
Moniak and Phillies' 2015 first round draft pick Cornelius Randolph, who will return from injury, will play for the GCL Phillies tomorrow at 12 p.m. as they take on the GCL Yankees East.
