The Phillies signed Cuban outfielder Osemel Aguila to a minor league contract today. The 26-year-old outfielder signed a $100,000 contract with the team in March, but immigration papers and documentation held up the deal.

Over 324 games in Cuba's professional league, Aguila hit .280 with an on-base percentage of .384. He hit .296 with 19 doubles, five triples, 13 homers and 50 RBI's in 314 plate appearances during the 2010 season, his best to date.
