Eickhoff takes mound as Phillies open series with Marlins

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — A nine-game homestand continues for the Phillies (22-16) as they welcome the Miami Marlins (20-17) into town for three games.

The Phillies and Marlins met just over a week ago in Miami with the Phillies taking two of three. The Phillies have won each of their last three series, taking two games in each.

In Monday's opener, the Phillies give the ball to Jerad Eickhoff. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.

Eickhoff struggled again in his last outing, allowing four runs — three earned — on seven hits in 4 1/3 innings in a loss against the Braves. Eickhoff has lost four of his last five starts and his only win of the season came on April 13. Eickhoff picked up the win in his only career start against the Marlins in 2015, allowing five hits in six shutout innings.

Conley struggled in his last start as well, allowing four runs on seven hits in four innings against the Brewers in a loss. Conley had won his previous two starts before that, allowing a combined two hits and five walks in 13 innings of scoreless ball. Conley has made three career starts against the Phillies, posting an 0-1 record with a 2.00 ERA.
