Phillies, Aaron Nola set to face rookie Tim Adleman, continue hot streak against Reds

PHILADELPHIA — Having won five of their last six games, the Philadelphia Phillies (21-15) will look to capture their eighth series victory of the season in opposition of rookie right-hander Tim Adleman and the last-place Cincinnati Reds (14-21) Saturday evening at Citizens Bank Park.

Phillies right-hander Aaron Nola will take the mound for his eighth start of the season. After starting the season 0-2 with 12 earned runs allowed in 19 innings pitched, Nola is 2-0 with just four earned runs allowed in 27 innings pitched since. Adleman will make his third career start as he fills in for injured Reds RHP Raisel Iglesias (right shoulder).

A win would secure the Phillies their sixth series victory out of their last seven played overall, which would be their best stretch since winning nine straight from June 21 to July 25, 2011. Their 3-2 series opener victory on Friday snapped a seven-game losing streak against the Reds, which dated back to June 4 of last season.
