The Sixers season is over and it's time to look to the draft, unless you plan on watching the playoffs. Even then, if you're a Sixers fan, the draft is always in the back of your mind. The NBA has a complex set of tiebreakers for playoff position, but when two teams tie in the draft order or for lottery position, the league leaves it to random drawings. To be more specific, a coin flip.
The Sixers record of 10-72 gives them the best chance at getting the first overall pick, 25 percent to be exact. There's a 44.2 percent chance the Lakers pick conveys (31.9 percent for the fourth pick, 12.4 percent for the fifth).
Beyond that, they also get the first rounders of both the Heat and the Lakers. After today's coin flips, the Heat's selection fell to 24th and the Thunder's pick will be 28th. Miami could've gone as high as 21, so it's unfortunate that a coin determined their pick would come three selections later.

The Sacramento Kings fared well in the series of coin tosses, landing in the eighth spot in the lottery. The Kings will split their ping pong balls with Milwaukee and Denver, something that was pre-determined before the tiebreaker.
