The Eagles will not face a NFC East opponent until Week 6, when they travel to the nation's capital to face the reigning division-champion Washington Redskins on Sunday, Oct. 16.
Similar to last 2015 season — when the Eagles hosted the Buffalo Bills, Arizona Cardinals and Redskins — three of the Eagles' last four games of the season will be at home. This time, however, each game will be against a NFC East opponent: Redskins (Week 14), New York Giants (Week 16, primetime) and Dallas Cowboys (Week 17).
The last time the Eagles opposed the division-rival Cowboys in Week 17 of a season was 2013, as quarterback Nick Foles and the Eagles came out narrowly on top, 24-22.
The Eagles will open the preseason on Thursday, August 11, as they host the Tampa Bay Bucaneers. They will then hit the road for back-to-back games on Thursday, August 18, and Saturday, August 27, against their Week 3 opponent — the Pittsburgh Steelers — and the Indianapolis Colts, respectively.
The preseason finale will be on Thursday, Sept. 1, as the Eagles host the New York Jets. Each preseason game is scheduled for 7 p.m.
