The Flyers have dodged another injury bullet.

Claude Giroux left Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Arizona Coyotes late in the third on a scary hit along the halfway by Martin Hanzal. GM Ron Hextall updated Giroux's status on Sunday evening, saying the captain was both "fine" after last night's game and remains fine upon the team's arrival back in Philadelphia.

Giroux is expected to play on Monday night when the Flyers host the Winnipeg Jets at 7 p.m.

Giroux has 21 goals and 41 assists for 62 points in 71 games. Giroux missed three games last month with a suspected concussion suffered in a shootout loss to Montreal on Feb. 19.

Hanzal will not face any supplemental discipline for his boarding major on Giroux. Similarly, a scary incident involving Coyotes captain Shane Doan, who left after a collision with Radko Gudas, will also not be subject to supplemental discipline.

The Flyers concluded a four-game road trip on Saturday night with the 2-1 loss, going 2-1-1 on the trip. They currently sit in a tie for the final playoff spot with the Detroit Red Wings.
