It seems like the Cliff Lee chronicles are ready to come to an end. After some general interest from around the league, most recently the Marlins and Orioles, it seems as if the veteran left-hander may be ready to call it a career. Lee's agent tells Ken Rosenthal that he doesn't expect him to play at this point. At the beginning of 2016, Braunecker indicated to MLB.com that Lee had interest in coming back to pitch, but only if it were a 'perfect fit'.
Sounds like Cliff Lee’s career is over. His agent, Darek Braunecker, told me, “We don’t anticipate him playing at this point.”

Lee last pitched on July 31st, 2014 for the Phillies, lasting just 2.2 innings before leaving with left elbow issues. He was placed on the 15-day disabled list a day later and then transferred to the 60-day on September 4th, 2014. They activated him off that list in October, but he was placed back on it in March of 2015. On November 2nd, 2015, Lee was granted free agency.
The 37-year-old southpaw started 118 games for the Phillies, going 48-34 with an ERA of 2.94. He went 7-3 with a 2.52 ERA in 11 postseason starts between Texas and Philadelphia.
