PHILADELPHIA -  The Philadelphia Phillies unveiled on Monday their new alternate red jerseys that they will don six times during Citizens Bank Park Business Persons Specials this upcoming season.

UntitledThe first of the six scheduled dates is Thursday, April 14, against the San Diego Padres in a 1:05 p.m. matinee.

According to a team press release, the new design will implement a new Majestic uniform system called "Flex Base":

The Phillies all-new red jersey design is part of Majestic's new Flex Base uniform system, a design developed through insights from Major League players, innovative fabric technologies and extensive wear testing over the last two years. All of the new Flex Base uniforms feature a new, lighter weight twill technology and mesh panels on the sides of the jerseys which reduce the overall weight of jerseys by 10-20 percent and enhance freedom of movement.

Returning next season will be the traditional home pinstripes, the cream home alternates that debuted in 2008 and the grey road jerseys. All three of these jersey designs which also make the switch to Majestic's new Flex Base style in 2016.

The new red alternate jersey, which will be worn with the Phillies' traditional red pinstriped pants and primary cap according to uni-watch.com, will be available at the Majestic Clubhouse Store at Citizens Bank Park starting this Friday, February 5.
