Phillies to get new Spring Training/alternate jersey

This morning, per sportslogos.net, the MLB and partners Majestic and New Era introduced some updated spring training jerseys. Here's a look at all of the ones from the National League East, including a new look from the Philadelphia Phillies.

The writing is different, but the jersey as a whole doesn't look much different than this previously failed jersey.

The hat comes off as a worse version of this one, which will be discussed more below.

On the team's website, the old Spring Training jerseys (pictured below) appear to be in limited supply.

The Phillies haven't introduced a new alternate jersey since 2007, when they began wearing their current cream jerseys with the aforementioned blue hats for day games that take place at Citizens Bank Park. Chris Creamer, who owns sportslogos.net, says that will change in 2016, as the Phillies will add their Spring Training jersey into their regular season repertoire.

The Phillies will wear this jersey a few times during the 2016 regular season.

It's not immediately clear when the Phillies plan to wear these jerseys during the regular season. It's also not specifically mentioned what pants the team will wear with this jersey, though one would assume it will be the white pants with red pinstripes that the team wears at home. In terms of a batting helmet, the team didn't get alternate batting helmets to match their alternate home hats until 2008, the second year they wore the jerseys. If these jerseys are only going to be worn a few times a year, the team will probably just wear their regular red batting helmets in games that they wear the jersey in.
