This year marks Alan Trammell's last opportunity to be elected to the Hall of Fame by the Baseball Writers Association.  Trammell is not totally ruled out; the veteran's committee may choose to elect him down the line.

Former Phillies pitcher Curt Schilling was on 52.3 percent of the ballots, a jump from 38 percent last season.  Former Phillies closer Billy Wagner stays on the ballot with 10 percent of the vote.  Mike Sweeney got 0.7 percent of the vote.

Griffey set a new record for percentage of the vote.  Three ballots excluded Griffey on the ballot, making the final percentage greater than 99 percent, but not 100 percent.
