Murray to Lurie: Eagles had ‘lost confidence’ in Chip Kelly
With Chip Kelly's firing now official, more about the discussion between DeMarco Murray and Jeffrey Lurie has been revealed.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Murray told Lurie that the Eagles had "lost confidence" in Kelly.
Among the things DeMarco Murray told owner Jeffrey Lurie weeks ago was that he had no confidence in Chip Kelly as head coach, I'm told.

Things had come to a head with Murray and Kelly in recent weeks. The Eagles running back saw limited play in the final weeks Kelly coached the team and there was a clear frustration with Kelly forming on Murray's part.
Lurie noted in the talk with Murray that the running back cited promises made in the free-agency pursuit that had been broken as part of his frustration and lack of trust and confidence in Kelly.
Murray and the Eagles will be led by interim head coach Pat Shurmur on the sidelines for the season finale against the Giants on Sunday.
