The Jahlil Okafor saga continues to build and build.   In the last 24 hours we learned that the Sixers center was involved in an altercation in Boston after the Sixers fell to the Celtics on Wednesday evening.  Two new Okafor developments have come since then.  First, the Boston Police Department issued a statement that they were continuing to investigate the situation involving Okafor.  Now a new report has been filed suggesting that Okafor had a gun pointed at him in the City of Brotherly Love.

CSN Philly's John Gonzalez reports:

The 19-year-old Sixers’ rookie was outside an Old City nightclub after 2 a.m. on October 4 when he and another person began arguing with two men sitting in a parked car near the corner of 2nd and Walnut Streets, according to a witness. The verbal disagreement escalated and a witness said he saw Okafor try to punch the driver through the open driver’s side window. During the altercation, the driver and passenger exited the car and the passenger pointed a gun in the direction of Okafor and his associate, per the witness.

Gonzalez reports that a U.S. Park Ranger intervened and that an investigation is ongoing after a gun magazine was found.

The Boston Police, meanwhile, continue to investigate late Wednesday/early Thursday's incident involving Okafor in Boston outside a nightclub.    ESPN reported that the Boston Police are still continuing to look into the incident.

Okafor is currently in the game against the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center.
