According to a report by TMZ Sports, ex-Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb has been sentenced to 18 days in a county jail after pleading guilty to a DUI charge stemming from his arrest in Arizona on June 28th.
According to the report, the sentence for winningest quarterback in Eagles franchise history goes as follows:
- 18 days in county jail
- 72 days in home detention after jail time
- 30 hours of community service
- Counseling after home detention
- Unsupervised probation until he completes the sentence
- Ordered to pay a $6,342.23 fine
McNabb crashed into a car at a red light in Gilbert, AZ and was arrested.
He told police that he was at the bar on the night of the incident, but he claimed that he wasn't drunk.
Police found a bottle of tequila in the trunk of McNabb's vehicle, and confirmed after the crash that McNabb's blood alcohol level was .17, which is more than double the legal limit.
This isn't the first time that McNabb will spend time in jail for a DUI-related incident. He spent a night in jail after being arrested in Mesa, AZ in Jan. 2014.
McNabb recently made an appearance at Lincoln Financial Field before an Eagles-Giants game in Week 6 when the Eagles inducted Brian Westbrook into the team's Hall of Fame.
