WR Nelson Agholor has no set timetable for return

Philadelphia Eagles rookie wide receiver Nelson Agholor hasn't got off to a tremendous start in his first year as a professional.

The 2015 first-round pick out of USC has missed the last two games due to a left ankle injury suffered against the New Orleans Saints in Week 5.

In the five games that he has played, Agholor has only caught multiple passes in two games. He has a total of eight receptions for 105 yards.

Although the Eagles don't play this week because of the bye week, Agholor still won't commit to being ready to go for a Week 9 showdown against the Dallas Cowboys in "Jerry World".

"It's still day-by-day," Agholor said to NJ Advance Media on Monday night. "Nobody has a crystal ball. Being injured is tough. At the end of the day, it happens in the game of football. It's how you respond that will define you."

Agholor plans to spend the bye week in the Philadelphia area in order to rehab and recover from the injury.

Playing in an offense that doesn't have many quality down-field weapons, Agholor gives the Eagles offense the ability to stretch the field. He averages just over 13 yards per catch this season.

The Eagles hope to have injured players Agholor (ankle), linebacker Kiko Alonso (knee) and left tackle Jason Peters (back) to return against the Cowboys in two weeks.
