On the eve of the start of training camp (basketball!!!), the Sixers PR department released the official training camp roster. No real surprises here, save perhaps that after conflicting reports, Jordan McRae did in fact sign his 1-year tender and will compete for a spot on the regular season roster.
Probably the most interesting position battle will be for the point guard spots, as Brett Brown said recently that the team would retain 3 ball-handling guards to man the position. This list includes 6 potential PGs (Wroten, Canaan, Marshall, McConnell, Wilbekin, and Jackson), so those guys know three of them aren't making it.
Along with the training camp roster, the Sixers announced their ad campaign for the 2015-16 season, rocking the tagline "Since 1776" and sporting revolutionary themes. Accompanying the press release is the TV spot embedded below which, while perhaps not as awesome as the Eagles hype video with BDawk, definitely hits on all the things you'd hope.
AI breaking ankles, Chocolate Thunder breaking backboards. Awww yeah, get pumped, the Philadelphia NBA season officially kicks off tomorrow!
