According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Eagles linebacker Kiko Alonso will seek out a second opinion on his knee, which kept him out of action this past Sunday against the Jets. He will see the famed Dr. Andrews for an exam, which is never a name you want to hear in a situation like this.
Eagles LB Kiko Alonso in Florida today to get 2nd opinion on knee from Dr. James Andrews; diagnosis will help determine if surgery needed.

The meeting with Dr. Andrews will determine whether or not Alonso will require surgery on his left knee, the same one he needed surgery to repair a torn ACL a season ago.
During training camp, Alonso experienced tendinitis in the knee and he exited the week two matchup against Dallas with what was determined a knee sprain later in the week. It begs the question as to whether the Oregon alum was ever 100% healthy. He has seven combined tackles and a one-handed interception so far this season.
Meanwhile, in place of Alonso this week against the Jets, rookie Jordan Hicks stepped up and had a huge game. He recorded 10 tackles — nine solo — recovered a fumble and grabbed an interception.
