Eagles official injury report: two players listed as questionable

Today, the Philadelphia Eagles announced their final injury update prior to the season opener on Monday night against the Atlanta Falcons.

After being limited in practice throughout this week of practice, both tight end Zach Ertz (groin) and outside linebacker Marcus Smith (hamstring) are listed as questionable to play in week one of the regular season.

Ertz is still recovering from surgery he underwent on Aug.14.

As for Smith, a hamstring injury has hindered the second-year player's development.

If Ertz can't play, third-string tight end Trey Burton is projected to receive a lot of snaps along with veteran Brent Celek.

If Smith is unavailable, the Eagles have Brad Jones, Vinny Curry and Bryan Braman to serve as backups of starters Brandon Graham and Connor Barwin.

Head coach Chip Kelly says both players will be a game-time decision.
