Phillies and Cubs rained out; single-admission twin bill tomorrow

Tonight's game at Citizens Bank Park between the Phillies and the Chicago Cubs was postponed due to inclement weather. After being slated for a 7:05 Eastern start time, the contest was delayed for over an hour before it was scratched in favor of a twin-bill doubleheader beginning at 5:05 tomorrow afternoon.

Jake Arrieta (18-6, 2.03 ERA), NL Cy Young contender, will start for the Cubs in Game 1, as the Phils counter with Adam Morgan (5-5, 4.42).

The second game will begin soon after the first wraps up; it pits Cubs righty Kyle Hendricks against Alec Asher, who will be making his third major league start.

For those fans who purchased tickets for tonight's rainout: as the doubleheader is single-admission, your tickets are not valid for tomorrow's game but can be exchanged for tickets to a Phillies home game for the rest of this season and in 2016.

Tomorrow's twin-bill will mark the first game under the tenure of interim general manager Scott Proefrock, who took over when Ruben Amaro, Jr. was let go today.
