It wasn't too long ago when New York Giants punter Steve Weatherford mocked the Eagles' quarterback situation in an interview with New York sports station, WFAN.
One bit involved Weatherford taking a shot at Tim Tebow.
"I'm the biggest Tim Tebow fan in the world," he said. "I mean, who wouldn't want their daughter to date a guy like that? I'll tell you want, I don't want him taking snaps for my team."
Well, the 32-year-old Weatherford is no longer a member of the Giants after being released by the team Friday morning.

To make matters worse, Tebow might have solidified his status as the team's third-string quarterback after out-performing Matt Barkley in Thursday night's preseason finale against the New York Jets. Tebow finished 11-of-17 for 189 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception while adding 32 yards rushing on four attempts.
Barkley, on the other hand, finished 4-of-9 for 45 yards and had a terribly under thrown pass to Josh Huff intercepted on just his second throw of the game. Tebow looked cool under pressure, while Barkley looked like a guy who couldn't handle the heat of the moment. Their fates will be determined within the next 24 hours.
For Weatherforfd, he's now in search of a new job following his release.
