The Eagles have begun making their final roster cuts before Saturday's 4 p.m. deadline for NFL teams to trim their rosters to 53 players.
According to NJ.com, the crop of players who have reportedly been cut by the team Friday morning include offensive lineman John Moffitt, rookie defensive end Brian Mihalik, 24-year-old receiver Quron Pratt, offensive lineman Julian Vandervelde, linebacker Deotae Skinner, tight end Andrew Gleichert, kicker Kip Smith, offensive lineman Brett Boyko, and fan-favorite receiver, Rasheed Bailey.
Bailey is a prime candidate to make the Eagles' practice squad after an impressive preseason where he caught 10 passes for 100 yards. The 22-year-old capped it off with an 18-yard touchdown catch in Thursday night's game on a pass by Tim Tebow.
Mihalik is another candidate for the team's practice squad. With his 6-9 frame, there's a realistic possibility that the 23-year-old transitions to offensive tackle.
I'm assuming Mihalik eventually makes it back to the practice squad. Wouldnt be strangest thing in the world to see him moved to OT. #Eagles

Moffitt was attempting to make an NFL comeback after abruptly retiring back in 2013. He had faced drug and assault charges in 2014, but sought help from Fox Sports' Jay Glazer and other trainers to get his life back on track, while going so far as to check himself into rehab. Unfortunately for Moffitt, he did not play well enough to earn a spot on the Eagles' 53-man roster.
