Nola, Harvey square off in rubber match

New York, NY – Seeking to win their 13th series of the season, and their first against the New York Mets (73-59) since May 9-11, 2014, the Philadelphia Phillies (53-80) will send rookie RHP Aaron Nola to the mound in the rubber match of the three-game set at Citi Field.

Nola, 22, has a 0.60 ERA and a 0.600 WHIP ratio over his last two starts.

The rookie out of Louisiana State University will take the mound for the ninth time of his career tonight, and his third against a National League East division opponent.

Out of Nola's 40 strikeouts thus far, 32 or 80% of them have been against right-handed batters.

Harvey, 26, will make his fourth career start against the Phillies at Citi Field, where he is 2-0 with a 1.80 ERA and a 0.600 WHIP ratio thus far.

The right hander's first career loss against the Phillies did not come until his most recent start against them, May 8 at Citizens Bank Park, where he allowed three runs on six hits and a walk over six innings of work.

Harvey missed all of last season while recovering from Tommy John surgery. He was named to his first All-Star game in 2013 after starting the first half of the season 7-2 with a 2.35 ERA and 147 strikeouts over 130.0 innings.
