Phillies fans are well familiar with New York Mets fans. There was the time when Mets fans did not clinch the 1986 playoffs in Philadelphia, thanks to a sweep by the Phillies. The Mets fans then spent the postgame ripping out seats in Veterans Stadium. Then there was the countless incidents as the Mets collapsed to the Phillies in 2007 and 2008. With the Mets in first place (thanks to a bad National League East) Mets fans are getting back to their cockiness.
