Milwaukee, WI – The Philadelphia Phillies (46-72) have lost for the seventh time out of seven games against the Milwaukee Brewers (51-68) this season.
With just seven hits from the offense, going 0-5 with runners in scoring position and leaving nine men on base, the Phillies' offense was shut down this afternoon against right hander Taylor Jungmann. Jungmann threw six and 1/3 shutout innings, and struck out a career-high nine batters.

After three innings of play, the Phillies and Brewers had one hit each, a single from first baseman Ryan Howard to lead off the second, and a triple from catcher Jonathan Lucroy in the first. A grounder off the bat of right fielder Ryan Braun allowed Lucroy to score from third for the game's only run up to this point in the contest.
Phillies' starter Aaron Harang unraveled in the fifth inning, as he allowed five runs on six hits. Four of those runs crossed the plate when Ryan Braun launched a grand slam, the 251st home run of his career. This tied 20-year veteran Hall of Famer Robin Yount for most in Brewers' franchise history.
Harang lasted a season-low four and two-thirds innings this afternoon. He allowed six runs on seven hits and a walk. Over the 37-year-old right hander's last five starts, Harang has allowed 49 hits and 27 runs in 25 innings.
With two outs recorded in the bottom of the eighth inning, southpaw reliever Cesar Jimenez entered to make his first appearance out of the bullpen since Opening Day against the Boston Red Sox. His contract was purchased from the Lehigh Valley IronPigs on August 12. He held a 3.61 ERA with 40 strikeouts over 57 1/3 innings at Triple-A this season.
The Phillies made one last effort in the top of the ninth. With one out, facing left-hander Neal Cotts, third baseman Andres Blanco hit a solo home run, his fourth of the season.
Brewers' closer Francisco Rodriguez entered with the bases loaded and two outs. He went on to record his sixth save against the Phillies, and his 29th save overall, for the season. Rodriguez has now tied long-time Twins closer Joe Nathan for the seventh-most saves in major league baseball history, 377.
