“Next and last” for the Phillies: trading Ben Revere; one team is interested

The Phillies pulled off the two big trades that they were out to make.  Jonathan Papelbon is now a member of the Washington Nationals and Cole Hamels is now a member of the Texas Rangers, and the system of much richer in prospects.  Looking around the roster there is one player that fits the mold of someone the team would trade: someone who has some value in trade and likely will not still be on the team when the next round of prospects makes it to the big leagues: Ben Revere.

Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports says that Revere could be next:

That is good news for the Phillies.

Revere has been connected to the Angels (who acquired three different outfielders and have someone named Mike Trout and therefore are no longer interested) and the Pittsburgh Pirates up until now.    The Seattle Mariners could be a team with interest, as they have watched Dustin Ackley struggle mightily.  With Robinson Cano dealing with injury, just having someone who can get on base may be a big boost for the Mariners.

Jeff Francoeur has also drawn some trade interest, but the Phillies might find him more valuable around the young players than what they might net in return.
