The same reporter that tweeted earlier on Wednesday that the Rangers and Phillies were nowhere close to a deal has new information, pointing towards a possible trade between the two clubs that could get done as early as Thursday.

It had been reported that Philadelphia is seeking catcher Jorge Alfaro and outfielder Nomar Mazara in a deal with Texas, both of whom are ranked in the top four of Baseball America's Top Ten Prospect list for the Rangers.
CSNPhilly's Jim Salisbury tweets that Rangers Triple-A pitcher Jerad Eickhoff has been pulled from his start in Round Rock and that a deal is being finalized.

Meanwhile, the Dodgers are currently in talks with the Braves and Marlins regarding a trade that would net Los Angeles Atlanta's top prospect along with Mat Latos, Mike Morse, Alex Wood and Jim Johnson.
