Cole Hamels pitched a no-hitter on Saturday at Chicago's Wrigley Field. Besides extra trade talk, Hamels has begun to win some awards. Today Hamels was named the co-National League Player of the week.
Jake Kaplan of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports:
Cole Hamels was named co-National League player of the week, along with Carlos Gonzalez.

Why did Hamels not win it all by himself?
The award is announced on Mondays and includes the preceding weekend. Rockies outfielder Carlos Gonzalez batted an astounding .476 with five home runs, 11 runs batted in, and two walks. Technically, Hamels three-inning, eight earned run start was in the same week as his no-hitter. But it was a no-hitter.
