Phillies legendary manager Charlie Manuel ties the knot with longtime fiancée Missy Martin

According to his Twitter account, 2008 World Series champion and perennial skipper of the Phillies, Charlie Manuel, married his longtime girlfriend and fiancée Missy Martin today is Las Vegas, Nevada.




Manuel, the all-time winningest manager in franchise history, was 780-636 (.551) over 8+ seasons in Philadelphia from 2005-2013. Last season, the 71-year-old West Virginia-native was inducted into the Phillies' Wall of Fame.

This will be Manuel's third marriage. He currently has two children and two grandchildren who live in Maine, according to a SJ Magazine feature by Marianne Aleardi.

Manuel currently serves as special assistant to general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. He also acts as a regular instructor down in Clearwater, Florida during Spring Training.
