The Phillies starting rotation has been in shambles. From the Opening Day project starting rotation, Cliff Lee, David Buchanan, and Jerome Williams all spent time on the disabled list with injury. The news just got even worse for the Phillies on a couple of fronts. Aaron Harang, one of the rotation bright spots early in the season, has hit the disabled list, too.

The Phillies, at least, are getting Chad Billingsley back today.
The move means that both Adam Morgan and Sean O'Sullivan likely will remain in the Phillies rotation for now. One of them would have been moved from the roster today to make room for Billingsley, who starts tonight. Now, the Phillies will have to keep both. O'Sullivan may have been the one to go to give Morgan another chance.
Luckily for the Phillies, they did not designate O'Sullivan for assignment, or they would have been worse off than even letting O'Sullivan pitch.
The move also means that the Phillies have lost a potential trade chip. Harang got off to an outstanding start, but has struggled over the last six weeks. Harang had a 2.51 earned run average in April and then 1.62 in May. However, in June Harang put up a 7.28 earned run average, and in his start yesterday gave up eight earned runs in five innings.
