The Philadelphia 76ers drafted Duke big man Jahlil Okafor with the number three overall pick in the NBA draft tonight.
Okafor, long considered the top prospect in this class, had dropped on draft boards as of late given concerns over his defense and fit in the modern NBA.
And while the Sixers have been men a plenty with Nerlens Noel, Joel Embiid and Dario Saric, they stuck to drafting the best player available after the Los Angeles Lakers selected point guard D'Angelo Russell from Ohio State with the second overall pick.
It's too early to tell how the Sixers plan to use all four of their big men. But with the uncertainty surrounding Joel Embiid's foot, it is not surprising that the Sixers went with Okafor.
