Nick Foles Gives Soldier His First Class Plane Seat

According to NFL senior analyst, Gil Brandt, the St. Louis Rams quarterback, Nick Foles, formerly of the Philadelphia Eagles, showed some love for a U.S. military member on a recent flight.

Foles was always known as a high character guy during his time in Philadelphia. He showed up early, did his work, spoke highly of his teammates, and took the blame even when it wasn't his fault. This is just another example of the good guy the Rams got at quarterback.

The question remains whether Foles will be as good of a quarterback as he is a person. He had a dominant 2013 campaign, with the oft-cited 27-2 touchdown to interception ratio while becoming the Pro Bowl MVP. His 2014 campaign was marred with inconsistencies, due in part to a battered offensive line and ineffective run game, but also due to his poor decision making and turnovers. His season came to an abrupt end when he fractured his collarbone in the Week 7 game against Houston. It says here that Foles will rebound in St. Louis, but that is a discussion saved for a later date.

Regardless of your views of Foles the quarterback, however, it is easy to see he is a genuinely good guy. Sitting coach cannot be an easy task when you're 6'6. Then again, that pales in comparison to the sacrifice our armed military members and their families make every day, so it is refreshing to see an NFL star show appreciation for their service. Cheers to you, Nick Foles.
