Phillies young starter Severino Gonzalez earned his first Major League win today. Gonzalez pitched five innings allowing five hits and two earned runs. Despite picking up the victory, Gonzalez will not get another start with the big club. For now, anyway.
A couple hours after today's game, the Phillies Twitter account announced the move:
RHP Severino Gonzalez was optioned to @IronPigs.

The Phillies optioned starter David Buchanan to AAA Lehigh Valley yesterday, announcing that Chad Billingsley would make his Phillies debut on Tuesday.
The remaining question was as to who would take Gonzalez's spot in the Phillies' rotation. For now, it appears to be no one, says Jim Salisbury of CSN Philly:
Looks like Phillies will go w four starting pitchers till May 12. By that time Sean OSullivan will be ready to come off DL

Reliever Elvis Araujo will likely remain with the Phillies until then. Araujo took Buchanan's spot. Presumably, Chad Billingsley will take the roster spot occupied by Gonzalez.
