Though you can visit Coca-Cola Park in Lehigh Valley for $7.00 in about 10 days, fans can see an Iron Pigs preview for $30.00 tonight at Citizens Bank Park against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Iron Pigs will forego their usual uniforms and wear Philadelphia Phillies uniforms instead for this special preview event.
The home team lineup tonight will feature Russ Canzler batting second. Rene Garcia will catch and bat ninth. Second baseman-turned center fielder-turned who knows Cesar Hernandez will get his second Spring Training start at third base. Just because, the Phillies will play a designated hitter instead of allowing the pitcher to bat. Jeff Locke will bat for the Pirates, however.
Phillies top free agent acquisition Aaron Harang will pitch for the Phillies. Harang has pitched decently this Spring, but he will have to face the Pirates' Opening Day lineup. All Pirates starters are playing tonight for the Pirates.
Since a competitive game is clearly not the point of today's event, fans have the opportunity to see select team members handing out towels, shooting hot dogs, or pouring beer in the Diamond Club. If that interests you, tickets still remain.
