The end has come for Spring Training in Clearwater, as the Phillies head north to Philadelphia tonight after the game. The Phillies will play two preseason games at home in Philadelphia before taking Easter Sunday off and opening the regular season Monday against the Red Sox, but this is it for Sunny Clearwater, Florida. The Rays will play tomorrow in Lakeland against the Tigers, before one preseason game at their home park in St. Petersburg.
The Rays lineup features several of their starters, but you may not recognize many of them. The one name that Phillies fans will remember, Evan Longoria, was a late scratch for the Rays. Longoria has nothing other than the common cold, but the Rays will be without their lone power source for the day.
The Phillies will play most of their starters, with a lineup that features six left-handed hitters in a row against right-handed Chris Archer. Don't expect them to stay in the game too long; they will be off and on their way, as those who will remain behind in Clearwater close out the game.
