Phillies right fielder Domonic Brown left the Phillies-Yankees game last night with soreness in his Achilles. Since he had been bothered by it for a few days, Brown had an MRI to see if there was any type of tear that would indicate a bigger issue. The news was good for Brown.
Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports:
Domonic Brown's MRI today showed no tear in his left Achilles. Has moderate tendinitis. Could be up to a week before he plays again.

The missed time will allow younger players such as Odubel Herrera to get a look.
Brown is at a crossroads in his career. After a strong first-half in 2013, Brown quickly regressed into someone who was statistically one of the worst outfielders in all of Major League Baseball. Brown may be getting his last chance in 2015. Should Brown falter, the Phillies likely will look for another long-term solution in the outfield.
