With the Eagles likely to stay put for now with newly-acquired quarterback, Sam Bradford, one of their division rivals may be looking towards the draft to land their next quarterback. According to Howard Eskin, the Redskins will take Mariota if he is available at the five spot in the draft.
In the last 24 hours I spoke with 3 #NFL sources and I was told by everyone that #Redskins will take Marcus Mariota if he gets to 5.

This is a bit of a headscratcher to some, because in mid-February, Redskins head coach Jay Gruden said that RGIII was going to be Washington's starter next season, despite obvious tension between the two throughout the year. This past year, Griffin was benched for Colt McCoy.

Injuries and underwhelming play has RGIII looking like a bust at this point, but if the Redskins want Mariota to replace him, they won't have to mortgage their future in order to do so like they did in 2012 with Griffin.
Although the Eagles have risked a lot on Sam Bradford, is the Mariota possibility completely out of the question? Let's not forget that not too long ago, the Jets said they planned to trade their pick to the Eagles if the Oregon QB was available at number six. We'll just have to wait and see what the Redskins decide to do on draft day.
